FIFA STREET FOOTBALL 4 all set to hit shelves on March 13th 2012

EA Sports will include a new feature called ‘the Street Network’,  when FIFA Street launches on March 13th 2012,where progress tracker that shows how far you’ve progressed against your friends. The feature is intended to increase competition between friends.Naturally you can then upload these videos and taunt your friends with how many stepovers you just did before scorpion-kicking the ball into the back of the net.

During the event producer Sid Mishra said, “Street football is all about the one-on-one battle, when you pull off a trick to roast your opponent. The Street Network brings that real-world swagger into the game by enabling players to capture video of those moments and share them with everyone in their street network to see, and providing friends with a way to compare each other throughout the game.”

This announcement seems to enrich a game that was missing an online edge, which EA have been so keen to push in recent times. The game continues to look good and a March release date is good news to those who believed rumours that it would be pushed back for a Summer release. As a sidenote, it’s worth pointing out that if you’ve already bought into the Season Ticket programme, you can get access to FIFA Street three days before then, so on March 10th.

It will be the first such game in almost four years, and a reboot for the series. FIFA Street is being developed by some of the same team behind FIFA 12, including creative director Gary Paterson, and will use the FIFA 12 game engine.
