FIFA Street 4 demo launch scheduled for 28 February 2012

Before the release of Fifa Street 2012 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles in March 2012,  A FIFA Street demo launches on 28 February 2012 on PSN and Xbox Live. The game was first announced on 16 August 2011 at the Gamescom event in Germany.  Along with several other new EA Sports titles, FIFA Street will be available early to purchasers of the EA Sports Season Ticket. Lionel Messi will feature on the cover after EA announced, in November 2011, that he had signed a deal to become the new face of the FIFA franchise.

A new feature called the Street Network is designed to encourage social competition among players. Requiring an internet connection and anOrigin account, Street Network will let players "capture video of their best tricks and share them in-game with friends, showing off their personal favourites and embarrassing their opponents. In addition, friends will be able to track and compare each other's progress throughout the game."

FIFA STREET FOOTBALL 4 all set to hit shelves on March 13th 2012

EA Sports will include a new feature called ‘the Street Network’,  when FIFA Street launches on March 13th 2012,where progress tracker that shows how far you’ve progressed against your friends. The feature is intended to increase competition between friends.Naturally you can then upload these videos and taunt your friends with how many stepovers you just did before scorpion-kicking the ball into the back of the net.

During the event producer Sid Mishra said, “Street football is all about the one-on-one battle, when you pull off a trick to roast your opponent. The Street Network brings that real-world swagger into the game by enabling players to capture video of those moments and share them with everyone in their street network to see, and providing friends with a way to compare each other throughout the game.”

This announcement seems to enrich a game that was missing an online edge, which EA have been so keen to push in recent times. The game continues to look good and a March release date is good news to those who believed rumours that it would be pushed back for a Summer release. As a sidenote, it’s worth pointing out that if you’ve already bought into the Season Ticket programme, you can get access to FIFA Street three days before then, so on March 10th.

It will be the first such game in almost four years, and a reboot for the series. FIFA Street is being developed by some of the same team behind FIFA 12, including creative director Gary Paterson, and will use the FIFA 12 game engine.

Scudetto showdown - AC Milan and Juventus preview

Coming to your way on Saturday night at San Siro,is  the most important league game of 2012  as AC Milan hosts Juventus . Both  teams are battling it out for the advantage in the Serie A title race.

The Rossoneri currently lead Antonio Conte's outfit by one point, but the Bianconeri have a game in hand, meaning that the home side will need a victory to ensure they go into the run-in with their destiny in their own hands.

However, a win would be bigger news than normal since Juventus have yet to taste defeat in any competition this season. Their last reverse came against Parma in May 2011, and they have since played 27 games without suffering a loss.

Milan have recently returned to form, with nine goals in a week seeing them past Udinese, Cesena, and, most notably, Arsenal in the Champions League, but do they have it in them to end Juve's magnificent record?

India defeated by Oman 5-1 in AFC challenge cup warmup

A clueless India were thumped 5-1 by Oman in an International friendly played in Muscat on 23rd February at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex.

The Blue Tigers were left shell shocked by a quickfire double strike by Oman at the start of the game, with Mohd. Al Ghassani and Ismail Al Ajmi scoring in the 5th and 7th minute respectively. Al Ajmi doubled his tally 13 minutes into the second half before Joaquim Abranches pulled one back in the 64th minute to give India some hope.

However Hasan Rabie and Abdullah Thuwain scored in quick succession towards the end of the match to help Oman register a convincing 5-1 victory.

Savio Medeira named right-back Samir Naik as the captain and handed Pune FC duo Lester Fernandez and Gurjinder Singh their national team debut while Anwar Ali was given a berth in central defence, in what was largely an experimental team put out by the Indian coach.
